We were approached by Eco Max with a brief to develop a retail packaging solution for their incredible range of plastic-free kitchen brushes. The objective was to create a range of packaging that would not only assist the products to perform better on shelf, but also reflect the brand’s strong environmental values.
Driven by a desire to reduce waste and protect the marine environment from harmful micro plastics that are released by many conventional kitchen brushes and scourers, the entire range of Eco Max kitchen brushes has been created using natural coconut fibre resulting in a product that is 100% plastic-free and completely biodegradable.
Whilst the general product range was initially retailed without packaging, key stockists were requesting a packaged option that would allow the products to be displayed more successfully and communicate more effectively with consumers.
We set about creating a range of environmentally friendly packaging that would share the compelling story of these products with consumers, and allow retailers to display them better.
On-pack copy and claims were carefully crafted to ensure cut-through, and a clean, natural design aesthetic was developed to reflect the ethos of the brand visually.
Through innovative paper engineering, we created a series of boxes that were completely free of plastic whilst still facilitating product visibility through dynamic open windows. Finally, the packaging was produced using organic vegetable inks on FSC®-certified board, creating a stunning result that performs brilliantly and does not harm the environment.
